How to take easily a product photo with your iPhone in your own photo studio, the MagicBOX
The iPhone has a setting that overrules adjustments you make manually before taking a photo. You can turn off this function (HDR) for use of your mobile iPhone 14 in combination with the MagicBOX.
Go to: Settings / Photos and turn off Experience full HDR.
Now go to your camera and turn on Live at the top right before taking a photo.
Take a photo of your product.
Your mobile phone is set for “normal” use and the MagicBOX emits an extreme amount of light. ->By tapping on your screen, a sun appears. You can now adjust the lighting by swiping up/down so that your product is best displayed in combination with an (almost) white background. You get the best image if you frame your product as large as possible.
Tip: set your preferred photo size to the same as the photo size for your website, which will save you editing later.
Sometimes when the iPhone displays the photo it has taken, it displays it exactly as it was taken, but if this is not the case, you can select the best photo in the live series:
Sometimes when the iPhone displays the photo it has taken, it displays exactly as it is. In the photo you have taken, click on change at the bottom, the live symbol will then appear at the bottom left, if you click on it you will see a series of photos that the iPhone has taken. By moving left/right you can switch photos, choose the photo that suits you best and set it as the main photo and click done.
If you want to turn your photo into a pack shot, you can easily cut out the background in an editing program. We have good experience with Picsart, an almost free program on your mobile.
